First off, when trying to find the top speed of a vehicle, one does not use an overdrive gear. The 5th gear in a Z32 is essentially an overdrive gear. Second, if you think you are maxxing out at 130MPH, then you need to rethink the way you are driving (choice of gear) or have your engine checked out. Third, if you think a 6-speed transmission is the solution to increasing your top speed, you don't understand transmissions. A transmission's gearing ratios is supposed to help keep your engine in the "sweet spot" most, if not all, of the time. The top gear of a transmission is the only gear that is an overdrive gear. What this means is, whether it's a 5-speed or 6-speed, your top speed will be about the same. The lower gears just split up the number of shifts between 0MPH and your top speed. If you somehow are able to manage a transmission that has 5th gear and 6th gear as overdrive gears, then you may as well throw your money out the window as you will almost never use 6th gear. In the case of a MkIV Supra, 6th gear drops your RPM's by a mere 500RPM. In this case, why do you even need a 6th gear? I'm sure it was to avoid the gas guzzler tax or to brag about a high highway MPG figure.
